Flaxseed Focaccia Toppings

These are some topping ideas for the Flaxseed Focaccia also in this blog.



Add these toppings Before baking:

Olives and Sundried Tomatoes
1/3 Cup pitted Black Olives
1/3 Cup Sundried Tomatoes

Herbs and Salt
Oregano, Italian Herbs, and Salt

Onion and Pepper
1 large Red Onion, thinly sliced
2 Tbs Olive Oil
Pepper
(Sauté Onion first then add Pepper in with Onion and place on pre-baked bread)

Olive and Rosemary
1/3 Cup pitted Black Olives
Rosemary
Salt

Roast Bell Pepper and Onion
4 slices roast Bell Pepper, diced
1 small Onion, finely diced

Herb and Pecan
2 Tbs Oregano
2 Tbs ground Coriander
1 Tbs Italian Herbs
2/3 Cup Pecans
(Place Oregano, ground Coriander and Italian Herbs on pre-baked bread.  Bake 10 minutes then add Pecans and return to oven for the remaining 10 minutes.)

Add these toppings After 10 minutes of baking, then return to oven for remaining 10 minutes:

Tomato and Basil
4 Tbs Balsamic Vinegar
2 Tbs Olive Oil
1 Cup (yellow/red) Cherry Tomatoes, diced
1/2 Cup Basil leaves, roughly chopped
Salt
(Mix all ingredients in a bowl and spread on top of bread after first 10 minutes of baking.  Return to oven for remaining 10 minutes.)

Bacon and Walnut
6 slices Bacon, diced
1 small Onion, finely sliced
1/2 Cup Walnuts, roughly chopped
Olive Oil
(Fry Bacon and Onion in Olive Oil until lightly browned.  Remove from pan and spread on bread with Walnuts after first 10 minutes of baking.  Return to oven for remaining 10 minutes.)
